ALS…New Zealand?
God has blessed ALS with an amazing (and unique) opportunity! We now are partnering with our SALEM church brothers and sisters to serve a group of Hong Kong believers in New Zealand. They want a solid theological education in order to achieve their goal of establishing biblically sound churches in New Zealand. So… As part of this plan, they invited ALS Professor, Dr. Cheung to New Zealand to teach them a class in person. We pray for these believers and look forward to serving alongside them as they look to expand God’s kingdom in New Zealand.

Join Us in Praying for Taiwan
Join ALS friends, staff, and faculty as we turn to our heavenly Father in prayer asking him to have mercy on all those in Taiwan who have been affected by the earthquake. We ask that their every need, physical, emotional, and spiritual are taken care of in this difficult time and that God’s goodness and eternal promises would somehow shine all the brighter in this dim time.

Happy… Good Friday?
Yes. In Chinese today is called “Suffering Friday,” because Jesus suffered, but in English we say “Good Friday.” Why “good”? Our sins put Jesus on that cross 2000 years ago and that is sad, but what makes Good Friday good is what Jesus did on that Friday. He willingly took our place. Our sin has no power over us any longer because of him. What a good good Friday! We here at ALS are praying that you’ll have some moments this weekend to dwell on these eternal facts. Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter too!
